HELP: When a drawing is open,
When a drawing is open, acaddoc.lsp file appear in the folder location of the drawing file. Why?BTW, i never use acaddoc.lsp to start my LISP
This only happens on file on my company server. When i copy that same file to my desktop,to open, the acaddoc.lsp do not appear.
EDIT
I also see this message when the file is start from my server:-
"s::startup-load AutoCAD menu utilities loaded." Sounds like you have engaged in an unsafe practice and thus your system has become infected with the acad.vlx virus. That certainly sounds like the behaviour reported on systems with a virus.
Search this forum for further information, or maybe ReMark can point you to the appropriate thread. I find it kind of interesting that the person who has been the most persistent in seeking out custom lisp routines is the same one who's system may be infected with a virus.Either vernon downloaded a routine from a questionable source or he has been trading drawings with an outside client who happens to have a China connection?

Or....see post #8 in this thread.

In the future vernon you need to be a little more careful.Always practice safe computing.Who knows what you might catch the next time if you don't. Thanks for the answer. & thanks ReMark yet again for the assistance. I will go find out more.
I hope i will not be black marked for asking too my questions or too many request for LISP.
I guess i will cut down on such & only ask when i really need to.
Thansk again for all the help rendered. Ask all you want no one is stopping you.Just be careful if you seek out lisp routines elsewhere. Some sites might be a bit sketchy.
Do you trade drawings with outside companys some of whom might be in a foreign country? That is generally where/how this virus gets passed along. Roger. Will keep that in mind. I have moved your thread to the AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL Forum. Please choose an appropriate forum for your threads in the future.
Especially beware of downloading .vlx and .fas files from unreliable sources, you can always open a .lsp in notepad to inspect the code, the others, not so much.
