differences between AutoLISP,
hi guys, i'm new in autocad . i just to know what are the differences between AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL. tq. Hi there, welcome to cadtutor.net.AutoLisp is the standard lisp language read by cad. Visual Lisp are more complex extended lisp functions, which will require the visual lisp extension to be loaded with (vl-load-com) statement. Visual lisp extensions implement ActiveX and reactors through Autolisp, and provide conversion functions to transfer stuff from vla objects to lisp objects . DCL is Dialog Control Language, in other words dialog boxes.
Both Autolisp and Visual LISP are saved in .lsp files, and both can be mixed within the same routines. While DCL usually have .dcl files,DCLs can be also defined in lisp . dcl language is different tho. :)thx very much
