[CTRL][ALT] - Redefine?
We are required to lock our workstations when we walk away from them. Often when calling the task manager via Ctrl-Alt-Del, I getan error which is due to the default Ctrl-Alt key definition.
Here is the error:
More than 10000 hatch boundary objects are selected.
Creating this hatch object can be timeconsuming.
Do you want to proceeed?
I don't even know what command that is to redefine the shortcut keys.
Help?? Go to the tools menu then customize then select keyboard the click show all on the dialog box and see if ctrl+alt+del is assigned I've already looked there and can find no reference to it...
ANYONE??? Google is a wonderful thing...
AutoCAD won't create a hatch pattern that consists of over 10,000 segments. The limit is set by the MAXHATCH setting in the registry. The limit can be reset to any value between 100 and 10,000,000. For example, to reset the limit to 5,000, enter (setenv "MaxHatch" "5000") at the Command prompt (with the brackets!) Can you go through Start menu and log off until you track it down? I don't want to log off, just lock the screen.
Even with my "fix" I found on Google is still gives the same error.
If I say "Proceed" it just Cancels anyway so it is nothing but aggravating
and I cannot even figure out what command is running!!
Sometimes Ctrl-Alt-Del works fine other times it hangs my machine with the stupid Autocad error. Has something with the speed at which I press all
the keys.
It's an aggravating friggin' mystery!
I thought someone here would know. Just to add, use Windows Button + L to lock computer and you may want to enable screensaver which prompts for password What does locking the screen do? Whats the main reason why when you get up and walk away?
What has that got to do with it...?
I dont know, thats what I wanted to find out.
