Since VBA is removed, Will VST

Since VBA is removed, Will VSTA take its place in AutoCAD 2010
like the did in Revit? How is AutoDesk Planning for people to migrate
their VBA applications in AutoCAD 2010?

Thank you,

No VSTA.
VBA still works in 2010, it's just not installed by default. You have to download and install it yourself.

VBA for AutoCAD 2010 is available via a separate download.Plus, it sounds like 2011, the soonest, for VSTA.

The generally accepted method to prepare for migration is to use Visual Studio Express Edition to get some coding practice while awaiting VSTA debut.

Ouch. VBA has been dead for a few years now.
I wouldn't write anything in VBA now.
Start looking at .NET... Check this one out.

Oh well, I didn't pay a whole lot for it.Now I know why it was so cheap.

If I can just make it to retirement, I won't have to worry about programming!

Lets see, where did I put those last lottery tickets.....

Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can catch up.

You have choices, alot of choices in fact.VB.Net, C#, C++ (if you really wanted too, but it would be hard) , Python (using IronPython) to name a few.C# seems to be the way Autodesk is leaning, as well as a lot of the industry, IMO.
