Ready to do my sections now, n
Hi Folks;I've ready now to start on the details and sections of my little project, right now my whole project is on one sheet in model space, and the pages are ready to do a test plot in paper space. Do I at this point continue on the way I'm going and do the sections at 1:1 on this same sheet or do I change to another size or another drawing and do the sections?
Thanks in advance for your help
James
BTW do any of you have any section cut through blocks or know where I can get some. I would continue to draw them off to the sides and/or above your main model at full size (1:1)When it comes time to put your sheets together, you'll just create a viewport for the detail sections and display them at whatever scale is appropriate.
I'm beginning to get the gist of the way this thing works now, thought that would be the answer but wanted to make sure. When I get the plots done this week that will help me a lot to put it all together, still got a ways to go though.
Appreciate the help
James I've kind of gotten to the point where I do most of my details directly on top of the model, just on different layer(s).This allows me to re-use much of what is already drawn, and filter only what I want displayed in each viewport.I think this technique probably works best when you primarily work in Modelspace through a viewport, rather than directly on the Modelspace tab, which is probably about 99% of the time for me. What are the sections of, a building/structure of some kind?
I'd do them t scale 1:1 off to the side of your main model then use viewports in paperspace pages to display these at the scale you want to print.
