Help 3D Nuts/Bolts
I need a little help, I am still new to the Autocad world.I have been using it for the last 9 months and I have about 8 eight years of using Pro_Engineer Wildfire experience and have become pretty decent at 2D modeling in Autocad, but now I am trying to model in 3D and need some help.I am trying to model a nut, i am able to model 3D solid iwht the outer dimensions i need but my troubles come when i try to make the hole and add threads.i have been able to make a hole but i usually stumble upon it by accident.Could someone point me in the right direction, I have done several searches for it and come up with anything. Also, as far as 3D goes am I only able to draw in the XY plane or can I change the drawing plane? Here's a demo showing several methods of making the nut with the hole.Cutting the threads is a bit more involved, but the concept is the same: make the threads as a solid, then subtract them from the nut.For more detail on making 3D nuts and bolts, see the link at the bottom of my post.

I managed to draw the threads by using a helix/sweep with a profile of the thread
