Clipped Viewports Can't R

Well i am sure this is a stupid question, but i created a clipped viewport in another viewport to zoom in some details. I got it set the way i wanted and then needed to make a change in that viewport and can't get it to re-open. Are those a one time deal? or is there a certain way to reopen that viewport. I tried to dc in that viewport and it only opens the original. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you can toggle between different viewports by holding down the CTRL key whilst pressing R at the same time - does that help you ?

That command does not seem to work in my AC. I'm using AC08 and all it does when i try that is says regenerating model. I created a viewport in a viewport. Does that make sense? I did that to zoom in on a detail and now i cant reopen it. Thanks for the reply, but that is not what i am trying to do, if i understand you correctly! Just trying to modify what is being seen in this viewport.

Man! I wished I had known about that a long time ago.

Activate one of your viewports (doesn't matter if its the one you want to work in) and then use the tip given. I know it works, I just tried it.

Each time you press the "R" key it will cycle to another viewport.

That worked! Thanks so much, i didn't have the viewport open, which was the problem obviously. Learned something new today.
