Alert message?
Hi,I downloaded and unzipped "Building 3D Models Tutorials" on "creating basic objects" and "creating 3D objects from 2D" for AutoCAD 09' which I have. But once I opened the drawings a message came up that said, "The DRW file cannot be opened because it was created with a more recent version of AutoCAD. Download the DRW TrueConvert tool from Autodesk to translate to different versions of DWG files."
Does this mean I have to follow it and download whatever it tells me in order to see the file? I don't understand if the tutorial is for 09', and I have the program, what's the deal?
The drawing files I saw were dated 2008.If someone had opened and saved the drawings using the 2010 version they would have had to turn back the system date. I have a question, since I'm currently taking an Technical drawing AutoCAD class and today was the second day due to my professor's illness who wasn't able to attend the first day on Tuesday. The class room still uses the old version of AutoCAD 00' and I tried to open my drawings with the program but an error appeared on screen saying something like, "dwg cannot be opened and is incompatible." Originally the drawings were done from the 00' version, but I recently uploaded them on my 09' version and made some changes to a few and saved them as 09'. I have like 16 drawings and only 3 of the untouched ones can be seen. Is there any way I can fix them to make the rest appear on the 00' AutoCAD?
