Plotting .pdf
I'm fairly new to AutoCad and I'm struggling with our local print shop to get my .pdfs to plot properly. I'm using LT09 and plot to .pdf with the monochrome setting. The Plot Preview and .pdf files both look fine to me here, but once I've e-mailed them to the shop and pick them up, the line weights are all super light (no matter what line weight I've used) and it's barely readable.Any thoughts as to what I could be doing wrong? Just asking..... Did you assign line weights within your monochrome settings? I'm sure you have your line weights assigned within your layer(s) but, you should also assign them in your plot style manger settings I hadn't done that and just tried. It doesn't seem to make a difference when I print the .pdf here at home on a small laser printer. And like I said, the .pdf looks fine in Adobe....
I was able to get the text to show up better by changing the line weight in Text Styles.
I should probably say that I've had other problems with this print shop on other things. Could it be on their end?
Thanks for the suggestion. If the PDF looks fine, and more importantly if it plots fine on your own plotter/printer - then yes, I'd say it's problem at the printshops end.
I recommend setting up your own plotstyle (CTB) file though - makes it easier to get different line wieghts to different colors. Are you on subscription?
