Confirmation of units used...
Hello: I have a drawing that has been done in millimeters. at least...well, that's my question - was it actually done in millimeters?under format ->units, millimeters is entered; also, when i enter measurement i get 1, which is for metric;
however, if you look at the dimension, you will see that they have chosen to display cm and I'm assuming that this is incorrect - but would like to verify this.
thanks,
Proctor The alternate-units should be calculated based on 0.03937 which is close enough to the 0.0394 (rounding) which is telling me that the drawing is most likely drawn metric and the drawing units would be set in the control panel to cm instead of mm.To change the units used, at the command-line type UNITSto make your adjustments. Dimaltf tell you what is alternate dimension unit used based on default template. So what you do : when get any dwg from other station first check Dimaltf
25.4 mind you are in imperial
0.03937 you are metric.
Hope this help a bit.
If by the "red-colored text" you mean You dimensioned it, yes your in millimeters.
If you want us to verify, attach your .dwg file and we'll take a look.
