Customizing the .cui question.

Thanks for reading

I'm trying to set up some borders I have into link in a custom made menu in Autocad.I've been reading every help thing I can but I cant seem to figure this out.

I have the menu made...and I have the submenus etc made.My problem is...i have no idea how to "link" my files to the created menu!I read a few places that you had to make the borders a custom "command", then drag that command into the menu (in the .cui editor) to work.Well, I have no idea how to make it a command.I also read something about putting in a macro to get it to open a file?

Sorry if this is a little confusing.I just have no idea what I need to do to link the menu with the borders I created.I have all the borders as seperate .dwgs if that helps any.Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

examine using a palette. Pull up the palette and right click|add new. Put all your borders in one file (save the file) and drag each in turn (this takes a little practice) onto the palette. You can set options about scale, position ect. once it is on the palette. Then click on the border you want and job done.

It can be done using the menu but I can't remember how.

For me, Tool Palettes are quite simply the best thing introduced to AutoCAD in the relatively short time I've been using it.
If it will go on a palette, I'll put it there. Standard details & notation, polygonal viewports, dim styles etc. Very rare I even open DC.
