Funtech certification helpful?

I'm pursuing my CADD degree and my professor recommended me to get a certification through Funtech.com to add to my resume since the school doesn't offer one. Are those certifications recognized when applying for jobs? Would it be helpful? I feel like we covered enough in class for me to comfortably take the CSWA and CSWP certifications.

They only offer one course in SW so the only certification at the school that's available to us is the ACAD
