Hello! Beginner at work - some

ello to all.I`m proud to have joined your community.Lets hope I don`t let you down in the end .

As I said in the title, I am a beginer.
I have studied in faculty autocad, but only for a semester. The mostcomplex work was in the end a nut and bolt joined toghether.(Plus theteacher didn`t give a rats ass about my group)

I would like to "up my game".It`s been almost 2 years since I worked inautocad, I have a manual covering the basics (not all but, thelayer, pline, arcs and circles etc)
The problem is that I can`t seem to find sketch works on the net to try and make some.(or I do but not what i`m looking for)
Please send me noob stuff to get started, and please some tutorials if you can spare a few min. of your time.

PLEASE SPECIFY AUTO-CAD SKETCH or something..I don not want to delet it on the basys of spam or unkown mail.
Further more beeing "rusty" If I start for example to make my appartment layout I get stuck very often on different problems.

So my questions are....can you send me/recomend me some files, tutorials, easy examples to make at home?

Questions regarding to effective work :
1) How do I get to "hook up" to the center point of a line?Lets say thatI build a wall, and I would like to cut the room at the middle?Thecrosshair, doesn`t "jump" on it as at the tips of the line.I could inputthe first point, but doing that every time takes up time and sometimes Ican`t get the coordinates right from the start.
2)Big problem with circles and arches etc.How can I make a circle at abottom of a square?Lets say the square is a wagon and the circles areits "Wheels"....how do I get them to stay equaly distant from each otherand the bottom of the wagon?

Thank you and please excuse my english...I do try and imagine that I write allmost as good as I speak.
Please excuse me if I didn`t go through all the noob materials.I will doso in the following time, I just need to get a heads up for the moment.

Is it ok to post here again with different questions from my workprojects or its recommended to open new topics to each problem?

Thank you verry much !

Welcome to the Forum, Mihai Radu! You may fill your location as well in your profile.

Try to find a manual with sketches for Technical Drawing courses ("Probleme pentru Desenul Tehnic") or check the "Student" area of the forum where you will locate a lot of example sketches as well suggestions to solve them.
Check the Middle OSNAP mode.
Locate the center of the wheel (command CIRCLE) at the end of the square (OSNAP mode End) and next move it to the desired location (command MOVE); copy the other one at desired space. May use DIST command later to check the results.
For more specific questions may post your drawing attempts.

Regards,
Mircea

PS. By the way, not sure that this is the best location for this tread - may ask a moderator to fix this.

Hi Stuparu and welcome to the forum.

There are tutorials on this site (button at the top left) that you can start with. There is a Student Project Question-part of the forum that has some example questions that you could have a go at.

I wouldn't post my email here if I where you, but each to his own.

1. Look in the use of OSNAPS, these makes the crosshair 'jump' to various points. F3 is the quick toggle on/off button in standard autocad.

2. ARRAY is perhaps a command that could be of use. Or MEASURE and DIVIDE. Look into them.

We recommend that you start a new thread for each new question/problem - with a descriptive titel for best respons.

Good luck and happy cadding!
