Scale.. Help me please!
Can someone please tell me the basic info on how to scale correct in autocad.. I don`t understand it:oops: Try this paper space tutorial. And always make sure to draw full scale in model space. Do you mean scaling objects? working to scale? setting viewports to scale? Here is another paper space (layout) tutorial if what you need is help with scaling the drawing before printing.http://cadpanacea.com/node/125 (part 1)
http://cadpanacea.com/node/126 (part 2) I have a drawing with scale 1:25. I f I want to make a cut in this drawing to make a detail-drawing, will this detail be in the same scale?
I also need to find the area on parts of the drawing, but when I use the area tool the area becomes way to big. Am I doing something wrong? That's the benefit to drawing everything full size in model space then switching to your layout, adding a viewport or two or more, then "scaling" the viewports. The viewports in your layouts can all have different scales but the objects in model space stay untouched. They do not have to be scaled up or down as the case may be. So in modelspace, your drawing is actually drawn at 1:25? No.Model space is FULL SCALE.1:1.In paperspace, create your viewport and set ITS scale to 1:25. Have a look at the bottom of the page you will find Similar Threads to the question you are asking.
I know, I was asking the OP if that is how his is set up
