Hide/Unhide issues

Im somewhat a beginner to AutoCAD (2011), been using on and off for a couple years. My issue is this: I right clicked to hide a specific object. Now when I attempt to draw any polyline anywhere in the drawing it disappears. Im not sure how to undo what Ive done.

Did you check to see if you turned off that layer? Open the layer manager and see if the light bulb is grayed out.
