Hi guys,
I'm quite "fresh" in Autocad. What is the best way in your opinion to learn and practice it? Video tutorials show techniques, but how to practice/ how to implement these skills on day to day basis? Did you work on some projects or just traced existing plans/drawings? Please, let me know if you have some tips.

One option is to get your hands on a good drafting or technical drawing book. They typically are chock full of exercises you can use to hone your skills.
What discipline are you interested in? Mechanical, structural, civil, architectural, other?
Try and get some one to have a look at what you have produced and make comments be prepared for critism but best way to learn also go to more than one with same thing. Read my statement at bottom of post.
I would like to suggest a book should you need a reference on architectural design.
Building Construction Illustrated is always on my desk. Excellent reference on how everything within a structure works and the reasoning behind why it does.
I currently have the third edition, however I've had the book for about 10 years now and it still suffices for my needs. I think its in its 4th edition, though.
Francis Ching and Cassandra Adams are the authors, Wiley publishes it.
