Circle radius doesn't mat

I'm trying to plan an access road which must run at least 2.5m away from an existing fenceline. I've put a few parallel road lines in at 3m distance, but at the fence bends I decided to put some circles at the bend points to give me a 3m radius. When I did this I was suprised to find that the circle extends further than my access road. I've dimensioned them both up, CAD is telling me they're both 3m away but they're clearly not at the same distance.

Can anyone help?

Sounds like a display issue...try increasing the "viewres" variable to 2500 or so. That may make them come out the same.

Can you fillet the lines instead? Typically, when laying out a road, I'll fillet segments of the centerline and then offset those lines and arcs to make the edges.

If you want to check on the clearance from the fences, you could offset the fence lines by 2.5m or 3m.

I agree with Glen1980, a screen shot would help very much.

I figured he knew how to do that, and was doing the circle thing for a reason as yet unknown.

Delete all the geometry except the geometry in question and attach the file here. Problem will be solved much more quickly than playing a game of 20-questions trying to figure out what is really happening. We spend all of this time learning to communicate with geometry - let's communicate with geometry.

Wow, sorry that was my first post, and I didn't expect such an impressive response. I billy-bodged it yesterday and now when I've tried to recreate the situation it's not doing anything wrong (standard!). I think the method I was using was pretty silly anyway. I had a feeling it might have been a display issue. If the problem occurs again I'll certainly post an image. Thanks all.
Meantime, I'm very curious as to what this "fillet" technique is? Sounds like it's just what I'm after.
