The Autodesk?Subassembly Composer for AutoCAD?Civil 3D?2011 & 2012 software provides a powerful, yet easy-to-use interface to visually modify or create complex subassemblies without the need for programming.
The Autodesk?Subassembly Composer provides a user interface that is designed to help streamline workflows:
- The flowchart provides a more intuitive view of the subassembly logic and is easily modified using drag and drop functionality.
- The graphical preview displays the subassembly geometry and can be used to help simulate how the subassembly can behave with different target values.
- Selection in the flowchart and preview are synchronized making it easier to find and edit the properties of a subassembly component.
- Subassembly Composer works directly with PKT files that can be imported into AutoCAD Civil 3D.
The Autodesk Subassembly Composer provides the following set of subassembly functionality for corridor modeling:
- Use geometric relationships to set and control subassembly points, links and shapes.
- Create simple and advanced links including arcs, fillets, parabolas, daylight rounding and surfaces.
- Create rehabilitation subassemblies with built in parametric characteristics that automatically adapt to varying existing conditions.
- Set parameters that will be used to create corridor feature lines, annotation, and other model output.
- Define shapes that will be used in corridor output including material volumes.
- Define input parameters such as depth of pavement and super-elevation slope.
- Define target parameters such as surfaces, offset alignments and controlling profiles.
This application is compatible with the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 & 2012. Content is currently available in English only, but will install on all language versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 & 2012.
*The Support Pack is a freeware application that enables the processing of corridor models that have been composed using subassemblies created with the Autodesk Subassembly Composer. There is no need to install this file if you already have the Autodesk Subassembly Composer for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 & 2012 on your system.
