Could it possibly be Civil 3D objects that are not displaying? AutoCad 2009 should display them but if not there is Civil 3D object enablers at AutoDesk's web site that you can get. That is assuming this is what your problem is.
Can you be more specific on the problem? What exactly does the error message say?
