I use Autocad 2004, my issue is regarding multiple paste command. Is it possible to paste something - a line or a block defined number of times with offsets?for example:- i want to paste a block or a line 10 times at a distance of 500mm from each other. I saw my college do so on Megacad with lines. Would make alot of work easier if its possible with Autocad 2004.

you can copy with ARRAY to achieve what you want or you can copy and type the distance you need the offset to be. I don't know a way of pasting to a multiple number of co-ordinates.
