Setup for hidden lines?

I have only had a hidden line show properly once. I am just wondering what is set up wrong? I loaded the line and made it current but I have to really zoom in, its it detail?

Modify properties (line scale) 'till you can see it on screen without zooming in.

while on hidden lines
how would u set up hidden lines for blocks when using a block with hidden lines on it, so that every thing is set as phantom , with out goin in to the block and putting every thing on phantom layer,
this is of cource when say the yellow lines are set by block/layer, so that they are dynamice, just the hidden arnt, any idears
