Sometimes there are issues, but it's very rare. It's never an issue with the project as a whole, usually just with certain Families and their functionality. It's always best to make a backup, then perform the upgrade and casually inspect the project.
At my company, we upgrade almost immediately when a new release happens. We always want the latest & greatest, with all the new added features or benefits. Revit is a very stable application and you shouldn't fear upgrading. I think it's an AutoCAD mindset that has poured over into the Revit domain, since every release of AutoCAD has some quirk or major issue that needs to be resolved. |
