Sections - getting the hatches

The title may not be clear enough, but what we're trying to do is show a section through an object, and then show an enlarged section (detail view) of a part of that object and only have the hatch show up in the enlarged section view. Right now, the hatch is showing up in both the section view and the detail view. How can we turn the hatches off in the section view but keep them in the detail view?

when you create the section you should get a dialog to exclude hatch from features/faces.

If that doesnt work just select the hatch in the section view and in the properties tab that pops up deselect the "material crosshatch" box and then you can select "none" for the hatch.  You will have to manually apply the hatch to these faces using the annotation tab in your section view.

I dont know of a way to hide the hatch in the section view and show it in the detail view.  I dont think that is a normal function(or havent seen it before).
